Will + Rachel {Wausau winter Engagment session}

I received a message from Rachel last December asking about wedding packages.  She mentioned that she was from  the Wausau area and I saw that we had a mutual friend on facebook who just so happens to be one of my favorite people in the whole world!  My fingers were crossed that she was the referral because any friend of Lizzy's is a friend of mine!!!  Well Rachel AND Will just so happen to be co-workers of my pseudo cousin Liz (who's wedding I photographed with my good friend Billy in September of 2016).

This sweet couple gets married early June and we needed some engagement pictures...or so I told them lol!  Knowing Wisconsin winters Rachel and Will were ok not having an engagement session tho I insisted.  I love these for getting to know the couple and so they can get to know me.  I want them to feel confident that their wedding day will be captured just as it happens as well as all the feels and details of the day.

Photographing a couple so in love is special, like being a fly on the wall for a secret!  Will and Rachel needed no direction other than "just cuddle for warmth and keep being cute" and "now look this way"....they were a dream to work with and I can't wait for the June 8th outdoor wedding in Wausau!

 We found this sweet spot to duck in and warm up for a few shots...

 Then back outside to the spot where Will proposed <3!

 Oak Island was pretty magical at sunset...even in 20 degrees temps...

Huge props for braving the weather in a skirt Rachel, and Will for snuggling up your lady to keep her warm...and that bright smile you keep on her face!!!

Threshold {Shannon Lund Photography Studio space}

For anyone just tuning in- Hello, my name is Shannon and I am a photographer.  When I was a little girl my sister and I would get out the white sheets, fans, mirrors and play model/photographer.  I come from a very snap happy family, so there are many memories and moments documented thru the years.  I took a few years of photography in school and never lost the hobby.  When my first son was born I knew I needed a current piece of equipment.  With digital being so much more affordable than film I purchased my first DSLR.  After a year of doing some photog jobs on the side and second shooting I decided to jump in and call myself a photographer and started asking for referrals.  I have yet to advertise thinking, I love my friends so their friends have to be equally cool right!?!  It has worked out fabulously!

July 1st I joined my friend Autumn (Massage therapist) and we share studio space in the Threshold building on Atwood Ave.  It's an incredible building and our fearless leader Efrat is phenomenal!  Threshold and everyone involved have really helped nourish my soul!  Not only do we have this amazing workspace, but a crew of people that are making such a powerful impact on my life.  Stay tuned as we spread beauty, love and healing...

Mini session's/event's 2015 {Shannon Lund Photograph}

This year I thought a schedule in advance would be helpful for everyone wanting a mini session.  It's also nice for me to know more certain schedule for the year.  I shared this picture the other day with out the Oshkosh mini included which now is on here.  I am also adding a Chicago trip late June/early July.  I can't wait for this summer and all the fun it has in store!

Cody + Michelle {Engagement}

For as cold as it has been lately this 30 something degree day was the perfect setting for snowy engagement pics.  Cody & Michelle were so fun to shoot as the love was radiant.  I can't wait for this June 2015 wedding!

Love is in the air {Madison Photogrpaher}

Last year I was much more vocal in the best times of day to shoot for light.  Obviously it doesn’t always work out with schedules and events, but those are my favorite times to shoot!  Seniors sessions at sunrise have been a new favorite and they are a little more used to getting up early.  Engagement session’s at sunset are great with the warm golden light and always my favorite way to end the day.  One engagement session was even adventurous enough to have a sunrise and sunset session (on different days).

And here’s some fav’s of the lovebirds I got to hang with this fall:
