Sprucing things up around here!

Our boys {Madison Photographer}

My baby turned 2 at the end of January and now last weekend my big boy turned 5!  Wow that went really fast!!  He is getting so big and so smart!  These 2 are quite the characters!  They fight more than they get along and soon it's going to be wrestle mania in our living room.

I told the boys we were going to take a few pics and set up the backdrop.  They picked out their 'fancy' clothes and the baby picked out his outfit from his aunt and uncles wedding last year that he wore when he was 9 months old!!!  He was drowning in it back then but lord this boy is tiny!  I'm pretty sure Joey was wearing a size 3 when he was 2!  Joe like to dress up for no reason at all and then look like the most mismatched person ever on days when we dress up.  In fact for school they had a dress your best day.  Joe refused to dress up, I sent a nice shirt and tie and the teacher asked him if he wanted to wear it 3 times and he said no.  I secretly smiled when she told me that.  I tell him all the time not to copy other people, they may be acting naughty and he shouldn't follow, or they could be doing something dangerous and he should think for himself and lastly because anyone can copy but cool people think of their own creative things haha!  Well I think I got thru to him, or it was just born in him haha!

After taking a few pics Joey told me he "couldn't handle anymore pictures" and that he was "exhausted".  I thought it was funny that he was talking like that and then a few minutes later my husband came in the door mid day half hurled over.  With in an hour both him and Joey were throwing up.  So I would say we did great for pics considering how the poor kid felt!

We love our pup!!

Jacob { 9 days new}

When I took Michele's maternity pictures I asked her due date she said March 12th.  I smirked and said how much I had wanted a St.Patricks day baby.  Well March 12th came and went with no word from the Scott family.  Since I was overdue with my second boy I figured she was also.  I got the email from Michelle on the 18th saying Jacob Patrick Joseph Scott was born on St. Patrick's day!!

The following week I came to them with my backdrops and props for an in home session.  Baby Jacob is so unbelievably handsome!  I seriously couldn't stop saying that!  Big sister Alexa was so sweet tho as most 2 yr olds do...she lost interest in being a model after a bit.  We convinced her for a few more then lunch and Culver's!  Woowho!!  I think at least 7 out of 10 session's use Culver's as a treat for after sessions.  In fact now I want some just thinking about it!  Baby J was very alert and interested in my clicking, I saw his big eyes often and couldn't get enough of his little features.

When one door closes another opens {Good bye Chicago/Hello Thailand}

On a sunny Saturday two weeks ago I drove to Lake Geneva to see my sister and her friends at this gorgeous mansion on the lake.  Talk about jaw dropping!!!  I didn't get a pic of every room of the house just the ones that really took my breath away and had easy access (the doors to the front porch wrapping around the house were locked and I knew my luck I would brake something)!  The girls were all getting ready after I got a tour so I bummed around and documented this estate!  In some parts of this house time stood still.  The wood work was impeccable and enough windows to pay many college tuition's.  I almost felt like I should have paid an admission to see this beauty!
The sitting room to the master bedroom (which I did not photograph) tho it was incredible!
The girls were all here to celebrate Brit moving to Thailand in a couple weeks.  It's pretty cool to be able to see the bond between these friends.  They have seen some amazing places together and been thru good times and bad.  Congrat's on this journey Brit, I hope to see you again some day....Now I just need to figure out how I can come visit!

Daniels {Papago park AZ}

When I booked this session, I assumed Deborah heard about the mini session's thru social media.   I also assumed we were complete stranger's who had never met.  At the beginning of our session she mentioned how her friend Autumn shared my post and that they were friends from college.  Just like that a light bulb came on, I asked if she was at Autumn's wedding knowing I was at the only table with friend's and there was a VERY good possibility this is who we talked to during dinner.  Sure enough it was and then we chatted about our mutual friend and her adorable kiddos.

We met up at Papago park and walked down to this pond for some shade.  This adorable little peanut wasn't feeling the best but looked so cute snuggled up and gave some great smiles, smooches and mommy moments.
I had a great time chatting with this family and watching them interact.  They really cherish time with one another and the love is radiant.

Kelley Family {Arizona mini session}

Funny that I go all the way to Arizona to photograph someone from New Lisbon!  Ashley is the little sis of an old friend from high school.  Now Ashley and her husband, and they're two adorable little kiddos get to live in this beautiful warm state year round.  When we met up we underestimated the overwhelming amount of rocks and how cool they are to little boys.  Ben had quite the collection started and it did keep his attention at ground level often haha!  He was so sweet and such a good brother, we may not have got that perfect pose with everyone looking and smiling.  But I think we got some of the best real moments in such a great location!  Thanks for making the drive to Papago park, Cheers!
